One loss goes in.
Six excuses
come out.
Put your loss through the glass. Prism Cope splits it into six excuses, each with its share of the blame, sorted from the market down to you. You are at the bottom. You are very small.
Of your $412 loss, only $1.65 was your fault.
The other $410.35 is spread across six colours. The glass checked.
The excuse spectrum
Every loss splits into the same six colours. Red bends least and carries the most blame. Violet bends the most, stays closest to you, and carries almost none. Each colour has five excuses, and the glass picks one every time you refract.
Shares move a little with every refraction. Violet never goes above 0.4%. The method is in the docs.
Session notes
Every refraction ends with a short note from the glass, written the way a patient therapist would write it: calmly, kindly, and without once suggesting that it was you.
How the glass works
Three steps from a red number to a calm afternoon. None of them gives the money back. All of them make it feel like somebody else’s idea.
The loss goes in
Type the number, or pick one that feels familiar. It enters the prism as one heavy white beam.
The glass bends it
Crown glass splits the loss by cause. The market bends least and takes the most. You bend the most and take almost nothing.
The excuses come out
Six colours, six excuses, six shares. Refract again for a fresh set. The total never changes. The feeling does.
Hold $COPE and the violet ray gets thinner
Holders see their own share drop from 0.4% to 0.1%. The loss stays exactly the same size. The part with your name on it just gets harder to find.
Common questions
Does Prism Cope give the money back?
No. It gives the blame back, to six other places. The money stays where it went, which is usually the red ray.
Why is my share always so small?
Because the violet ray bends the most and stays closest to the glass. At 0.4% it is still on the chart, technically, so nobody can say it was left out.
Can I get different excuses?
Press refract again. Each colour has five excuses and the glass picks one each time. The shares wobble a little. You stay at the bottom.
Is the prism real 3D?
It is a real glass prism rendered in your browser, with refraction and reflections. Drag it to turn it. It does not help, but it is very nice to turn.
What does $COPE do?
Hold it and your own share drops from 0.4% to 0.1%. It does not change the loss. Nothing changes the loss. It changes how much of it has your name on it.
Is this financial advice?
It is emotional advice, and the advice is: it was the market makers.
It was not you
Mostly. 0.4%, at most. Put the next one through the glass before you look at the chart again.
